FAQ
Care
Ten years is a good start, but if you care for your belt, it could last much longer.
To care for your belt, simply spot clean as needed using a dry rag. If it's under heavy wear, we recommend applying a leather conditioner every so often to help it maintain the oils it needs to stay supple. Keep in mind the two steps - clean and condition.
If your hardware collects dirt after a few years of wear, Brasso can shine your buckle and rivets to a like-new condition.
If you're after a higher shine on your belt to match your shoes, simply shine it as you would your dress shoes with some wax and a horsehair brush. Allow to dry.
Never dry leather over heat, allow it to air dry if it becomes very wet and then recondition it.
Following these simple tips will increase the life and beauty of your bridle leather belt.
What width should I order?
For women, it depends on the style you're going for.
For men, the standard is typically a 1.25" or 1.5" belt, but 1" can fit smaller framed men.
The 1.25" is a more formal and versatile width. It wears well with dress slacks or jeans.
The 1.5" is a more casual belt, as it's large width doesn't always fit dress slacks and is more bulky.
Why are belts sized larger than pants?
1. Belt sizing is to the hole in the middle, not the very end. This gives you room to either lose or gain a little around the waist and accounts for thicker shirts by having a properly sized belt.
2. Pant sizes are also not actual sizes - they are typically 2-4 inches (varies by manufacturer) longer in the waist than our actual size.
Be safe, please measure your current belt to the best fitting hole before ordering.
