Our Story

Have you ever bought a product that you use every day and been disappointed that you ever bought anything else? I know I have, and that’s how Ohio Valley Leather was born.

Growing up, my granddad always had a bridle leather belt, and it lasted him decades despite tough use on the farm every day. A good friend of mine gave me a bridle leather belt as a birthday gift a few years ago, and I could instantly tell the difference in quality between it and any other belt I’d ever bought. 

I decided I wanted to learn how to make belts of this quality, with my own touch, and bring them to the rest of the world through this website. I buy our bridle leather locally and finish it with the highest quality hardware by hand in Ripley, Ohio.
